8th Annual STOP CANCER 5k|10k Walk|Run

STOP CANCER research grants fund the most promising and innovative young investigators in their early research of all forms of cancer prevention, treatment, cures and subsequent clinical applications. STOP CANCER has funded 208 researchers at UCLA’s Jonsson, USC Norris and City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Centers.

We attend this event and walk|run in support of Team Emma. Emma and her family formed the team 6 years ago after being diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She has been in remission for almost 4 years. She is now 13 and doing very well 🙂

Over the past 6 years, Team Emma has raised over $100,000 through your generous donations. Last year, because of your support, Dr. Weili Sun of the City of Hope, was awarded the 2017 Emma Wood Seed Grant to further her research for pediatric Leukemia. Dr. Sun was also Emma’s doctor at Children’s Hospital LA.
