This home was designed by Karen Putman of p2 Design for an active family with a sensibility for casual comfort. Located on a 16,940 sq. ft. lot with ocean views in Pacific Palisades, the home contains approx. 5,200 sq. ft. of living area plus 1,500 sq. ft. of exterior living areas, expanding across the width of the property.
The canyon and ocean views from the property were drivers of the floor plan and elevations, with living and resting areas in the home opening to the views with balconies and verandas to continue the expanse of the home to the outdoors. The architecture speaks to the coastal styles of the east coast with a strong reference to colonial roots of the south. The home has the look and feel of a home you may find in Myrtle Beach or Charleston. Interiors are fresh and current while maintaining a casual and coastal feel. Warm grays, whites and soft blue tones are used to remain authentic to this architectural style and reinforce its coastal qualities.
