Having lived in our nation’s capital, the family we built this home with wanted a home steeped in classic traditional architecture.
As inspiration for the design of the new home, they chose the great classic architecture of southern California’s famous architect, Paul Williams. Karen Putman of p2 Design and Lizzie Dinkel of Elizabeth Dinkel Interiors collaborated with the balance of our team to create this beautiful home…a reflection of classic sensibility, using authentic materials to best accomplish timeless aesthetic quality.
Situated in a neighborhood known for classic architecture and charm, what is such a source of pride for the whole team is how this home completely fits into the existing homes in the neighborhood, nearly impossible to distinguish from the 100-year old homes surrounding it.
The homes interior opens dramatically for contemporary living with a plan form allowing all of the spaces to communicate and relate to one another. While fully respectful of the traditional character, the interiors contain contemporary qualities, materials, furnishings and artwork…lifting the traditional design with contemporary style and feel…to suit the preferences and lifestyle of a modern family. Classic gardens surrounding the home are a perfect complement to complete this masterful design.
