An introduction to the “Journey Timeline”

The journey towards your perfect home is different when you choose the team at Structure. We’ve already discussed our alternative approach to the standard Design, Bid, Build process – one that simplifies and reduces risk to the owner – but what happens next?

To complete the many processes involved in building your home in an orderly and timely manner, the team must adhere to a carefully articulated schedule. Structure developed a project schedule known as the Journey Timeline, for both the pre-development and construction phases of a custom home project. This timeline is a comprehensive project management schedule – a blueprint for the entire path that all participants in your custom home’s development will follow.

This timeline is the result of drawing from the experience of countless Structure Home projects over the years to examine, define, refine and implement a plan to direct a methodical approach. Among others, the goals of that process include:

• Enhancing the customer and project management experience
• Improving management, construction schedule and budget efficiencies
• Optimizing overall construction and finish quality

Most importantly, the Journey Timeline delineates refined roles and scopes of work for the architect, landscape architect, interior designer and all other design professionals. This ensures that all construction documents thoroughly illustrate and communicate your vision as well as provide the technical information needed to implement that vision by our field staff and trade partners.

A carefully crafted and articulated process is the cornerstone to a successful project, and gives you the means to focus your efforts in areas that you enjoy, value and want to influence.
