Last August we featured this beautiful Cape Cod home on our blog. Today we want to point out what it was about this home that made this project special to us.
The standout moment for us while on this journey of building this home was its Topography. The definition of Topography is the Study and depiction (such as charts or maps) of the distribution, relative positions, and elevations of natural and man-made features of a particular landscape, such as mountains, rivers, valleys, and human settlements, railway lines, and roads. In basic terms, it’s the shape of the land.
To adhere to the contour of the property that was sloping down was challenging but it created the greatness of this project.
Instead of looking into someone’s kitchen beautiful views are to be had due to the fact that we took the down slope and made it work to our advantage. What you can’t see in these photos is beyond the stairs leading down is a children’s play area which provides a private oasis feel.
The topography of this home truly made it unique and we grateful to have had the opportunity to build it. Take a peek for yourself …
