The Importance of Communication

The Importance of Communication

If custom home building wasn’t already a complex web of inter-related parts and assemblies, the ever-expanding pool of resources available today is providing both new opportunities and challenges across the board.  The vastness of information and the speed at which it is available is causing the development process to change at a rapid pace – making education and clear communication more important than ever.

In the past, we’ve relied on experience to answer nearly any question regarding Building Best Practices related to any given situation. Today, we must also rely on new research, technologies and methods to help not only accomplish tasks, but also educate ourselves about the appropriate options and communicate them to the entire development team.

The goal is to ensure we implement the highest quality systems into the homes we build. As a result, our project management efforts have become more complicated, requiring greater education and communication than ever before. In addition to all of the information at our fingertips, we also rely on our trade partners, specialists and manufacturers to be educated about product/system improvements and their applicability to the homes we build.

Structure Home has always supported a team of trade professionals who perform at a consistently high level of quality, integrity and professionalism. As a community of homebuilding professionals, we all take our responsibility to our clients and the homes we build seriously. Given the rapid pace of continual change and improvement, it takes a community to remain educated and to educate our clients through clear communication of all the options that are available. More than ever, collaboration of the larger group of professionals and specialists is essential.
